Fade Away - InnerFade with jQuery
InnerFade is a small plugin for the jQuery-JavaScript-Library. It's designed to fade you any element inside a container in and out.
New Version can be found here!
Things become international here at Medienfreunde, so this is our first (hopefully not the last) post in english. Sorry for any misspelling.
For a current project we needed a small and flexible solution for displaying multiple content in a small area. So we decided to fade the things in and out. While looking for a ready-to-take solution i found a lot of scripts like the »Accessible JavaScript Newsticker« from Wolfgang Bartelme or the jQuery-Slideshow from Matt Oakes.
The second one caught my attention because it’s a plugin for the great jQuery-JavaScript-Library. jQuery is my new »toy« for several weeks and i love it more and more. With jQuery »Writing Javascript code is fun.«. If you are in webdesign and -programming you have to try it.
To cut a long story short, i modified the Slideshow from Matt and gave it a new name. Now it’s called »InnerFade« and has some more options. You can fade any element inside a container with a specified speed and waitingtime in and out. You could take a list and fade the listitems or any div containing images or any other element containing paragraphs or …. Nearly all childelements are possible.
Here you’ll find an example-site. This is the whole demo-site in a zip-file.
